This is the sixth delivery of the [Dear Camus] project. My solo exhibition, which had been temporarily closed for a long time, reopened on June 20, after being opened on March 20, 2020 and then abruptly closed only three days due to the declaration of a state of emergency in Japan. As a measure to reopen the exhibition, it was only open to a limited number of people due to the reservation system. The "hole" that had remained open during the closure could be said to have been pierced once again by the reopening of the entrance door. The scenery, as a foreign object, slowly entered the room through the hole as if it were being grabbed by the audience. Since disasters caused by viruses do not cause physical destruction like earthquakes and other disasters, and are not visible at first glance, the landscape appeared to be no different from the landscape around March. However, there was definitely something different. My exhibition ended in Tokyo at that time, which was not yet an after-corona. Will the landscape as a foreign object simply pass by and be forgotten, or will it be noticed? This is a work in which I shot myself, covered in plastic, as a foreign object in the landscape in a closed exhibition room.
