A work created in Incheon, Korea in January 2022. We were a group of four, two Korean and two Japanese, called Land-ing Page, who participated in the residency.
In a COVID19 era, visiting to foreign country was very difficult. So in Japan, I was researching about this place with making the frame-by frame video from Google street view. I was only able to see the latest landscape from 2015-18, but even in those three years, I could see changes in many areas. I managed to get to the site, but the landscape in 2022 had changed even more.
I printed some landscapes from street view to large print, brought those on several same sites, and shot the video works.
Even though development has progressed, there are points where the perspectives like the mountains and highways in the background are connected. I tried to experience the same landscape but on a different time axis at the same time.
